I hope Blake Lively gets a huge award for damages. It should serve as a warning that these types of campaigns come with a terrible cost to the perpetrators. And yes one of the core tenets of the vicious campaign was misogyny.
I don't think it was as bad, but the themes are jarringly similar. I remember people saying misogynistic things about Heigl after speaking her mind about the plot of Knocked Up. It's an interesting comparison for sure and yet another example of the public being ready to slander any woman "just because"
