It's so important that ~someone figures out how to make social media usable again as a public service. I'm a Floridian, and during hurricane and heavy storms, cities and counties will post important disaster information to social media. I used to find out through a county Instagram if our water was safe. Especially with the number of people cutting cable (and do not have access to local news) and/or when we lose power but still have Internet, social media is a lifeline. I'm always concerned about people missing important information because of algorithms not showing what's important or serving up disinformation.
Why doesn't FreeOurFeeds collaborate with Project Liberty and their Decentralized Social Network Protocol (DSNP)? Did they mention Project Liberty when you researched them?
Seems duplicative.
I published a substack post yesterday https://usonair.substack.com/publish/post/154697871 for the US onAir Network ... a People's Platform for Democracy which will be going into beta development in a month or so using the DSNP/Frequency protocol developed by one of Project Liberty's labs.
The abive substack post assembles information on Project Liberty, DSPN, AT & Activity Pub protocols. More detailed posts can also be found in a slideshow format on computers at https://us.onair.cc/category/about/the-peoples-internet/.
Love your insights on current and future internet technologies.
