It doesn't seem terribly implausible to me that Repugs rigged an election given how bad their track record is, not to say that I know whether they did this time or anything beyond your article about the specific claims of evidence. Wasn't there extreme Repug electoral misconduct in '68, '80 & '00? There's a a real asymmetry between the parties, so I'm loath to dismiss it too eagerly as a mirror image of the Repugs' false claims of electoral fraud by the goody-two-shoes Dems who are bought off to always throw the fight. Big money always puts its thumbs on the right side of the scale.
I've been on Threads very often since election day. All of my follows (and most others) are responding to the fraud conspiracies with scorn, telling people to knock it off and grow up. There are important and fascinating stories to be told about Dem's reactions in the aftermath, and an amazing herding among pundits and the press, decidedly away from -- and seemingly actively avoiding -- the very reasonable question of what role racism & misogyny played. The two biggest and most passionate blocks of voters on Threads (black and female dem's) see white, mostly male pundits and journalists pitching every other pre-canned lesson from the archives but barely willing to maybe allow that darker biases drove a decisive % of the electorate.
But you want everyone to look away and share your hissy that the BIG story is dem. fraud conspiracists!! 'I don't care that it's not the candidate or the party or any serious electeds or party veterans saying that. I can do the math and claim "tens of thousands" of liberals on threads!' (Care to show that math?)
Not sure where you draw the line or how you see through (as you’ve thoughtfully reported) their algorithm to even judge prevalence or - clutch my pearls - something that's “OVERRUN!" the platform. I’ve been present a lot over the last week and I see a few posts here and there, but mostly in the form of serious folks replying that it's BS. Most of the traffic is the truly fraught debate over what went wrong and who’s to blame, with lots of self-serving, gut-level takes, based on what seems like no real data...again a more interesting and valuable story. But there’s a truly massive, generally very smart blowback from black women against all the press suggesting learned lessons about everything except racism & misogyny. (Read Sherrilyn Ifill...or don't because the dynamics of a dysfunctional media really aren't your...beat...no wait...)
Despite your melodramatic lede, the fraud conspiracies are a silly side-show, right up there with white folks wearing blue wristbands in a weak attempt at ally signaling. But you do you and good luck building this into a real story.
Hi there, you're welcome to spend some time on Threads and check out how many RTs many top election misinfo posts are getting, it's well in the thousands. Meta itself did not deny that it was overrunning users feeds. Regardless, I'd caution you against believing this sort of thing is a sideshow, especially when, in recent months, it's become a pattern.
It’s a mistake dismiss widespread denialism among Democratic voters as not a big deal when they are increasingly pushing this hardcore election across platforms like Threads which their conspiracies and actively downrank the journalists and news organizations attempting to combat them.
The consequences of this sort of denialism we're seeing from liberals (such as the Trump false flag conspiracies, the conspiracies about Biden dropping out, the election fraud conspiracies now), are dire. As I wrote, widespread denialism doesn't just threaten individual reporters, it primes society for authoritarianism. We are already seeing how figures like Musk and Trump are working to exploit our broken information ecosystem to dismantle public accountability and erode journalism's already precariously fragile role in our democracy.
As trust in factual reporting collapses, people will deny even the most rigorously verified truths. This widespread denialism sets the stage for unchecked power, where propaganda thrives, dissent is stifled, and democracy itself is at risk.
Right back at ‘ya dude. Do you have lots of folks clamoring for your hot take on what posts are sufficiently manly? It’s a weird niche but everybody’s got to find their place.

Just another beautiful day in neo liberal paradise 😎 (I’m crying behind the glasses)

What a silly, silly response. Needlessly defensive. Obtuse. Tantrum. I had to double check that a grown man way behind these words.

I was calling you a child, not questioning your manhood. Interesting you read it like that though.
