Skibidi Toilet isn't the first narrative series told via short-form video, though. Lonelygirl15 came out over a decade ago and plenty of creatives have told stories entirely though youtube or tiktok since.
I wrote about Lonelygirl15! That was a longform YouTube series. Totally agree with you about TikTok stories, but I'd argue Skibidi is the first breakout hit. Lots of TikTokers make animated (soap opera like) animated stories, but they haven't been breakout cultural phenomenons. Unless there's one that I'm not thinking of!
