Christmas in August…? Are Americans cosplaying as Australians? Tell me more!

Christmas in July is an Australian tradition and it makes sense because wearing woolly jumpers, drinking mulled wine and eating a roast turkey or a leg of ham doesn’t make a lot of sense when it’s beach-worthy hot and you are in your bathers reapplying sunscreen for the third time that day. So, in July, we get to dress up and play out all our Christmas movie traditions.

So, are Americans cosplaying Australians cosplaying European and American Christmas movies?

Utah "content creator," Caroline Gleich is an incredibly interesting candidate. She's young, a woman, a ski mountaineer with a pretty incredible list of firsts. She uses her mountaineering as a springboard for her environmental advocacy. And she's been very active the past several years at Utah's legislative session fighting to save the Great Salt Lake. Yes, content creator but so much more. On Father's Day she ran an ad asking fathers to get involved and defend their daughters' rights to reproductive freedom with video of daughters asking their dads directly. It was a powerful and direct message.
